Melodie Ramone first dipped a toe into this world on the cusp between Leo and Cancer, in the backwoods of Ohio, at the height of Witching Hours, during an intense electrical storm that left the entire city without power for three days. It’s been theorized those circumstances explain a lot about her today.

Raised in Chicagoland, Melodie has been obsessed with music, art, medieval history, and literature for as long as she can remember. An early reader, she began devouring 19th-century fiction in elementary school and credits OLIVER TWIST with inspiring her to become an author. She started her career at the age of twelve when a teacher submitted a short story she wrote, and it was published in a literary magazine. She went on to spend her high school years as a freelance writer and Area Representative at a small music promotion company.

Today, Melodie has published three novels: the bestselling AFTER FOREVER ENDS and the sister books BURNING DOWN ROME and LIGHTS OF POLARIS. She is currently completing a three-book series tentatively titled THE BRIMFIELD GHOSTS. The first book of the series FALLS THE BREATH was released on June 15, 2023.

Melodie lives in Central Illinois, in a little yellow house tucked inside a warehouse district. When she’s not writing, she’s reading, usually with her Schnauzer curled up beside her, a herd of rescue cats sprawled around the house, and her two free-running rabbits happily munching their vegetables. She is a fierce advocate for those afflicted with cystic fibrosis and their families and encourages everyone to learn about the disease and get into the fight to cure it.
